Xiaomi, another Chinese Mobile Company recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, another phone on Redmi line. With the price point of around INR 7000, you get full functioning smartphone with good specification than of Moto E 3rd Gen, which has higher price point.

Operating System of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime: Bad
Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime failed to compete in market as it is not lollipop out of the box. You get kitkat out of the box. Redmi 2 Prime comes with 4.4.4 KitKat coated with MIUI as of all the Xiaomi Sets. Company doesnot provide future upgrades, so this phone doesnot have brighter future in present market.

Design of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime: Good
As of all Redmi series, Redmi 2 Prime is also bulky phone. It has 9mm thickness. It is only available in Black variant. Of course, you can change the back cover. The outlook of this phone is pretty glossy, so, no good for extreme users. At right side, there is power button and volume up and down key. There are 2 voice cancellation is so good. It does have 3 touch capacitive buttons but without background light.

Display of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime: Moderate
Xiaomi Redmi 2 comes with High Quality Display. It is HD IPS Display with the resolution of 1280*720 which supports good games and full videos. Pixel per Inch is 312. This handset supports 5 multi-touches. It is 4.7 inch display which gives it a negative marking. As of news till now, there is no sign of protection and is yet to be confirmed.

Hardware Configuration of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime: Very Good
Redmi 2 Prime comprises of 2 GB RAM which is pretty good. Out of 2 GB RAM, approximately 1.0 GB RAM would be free. And out of 16 GB ROM, 11.94 GB is available to users. This handset is clocked at 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 and is quad core. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 unit that gives good feature.

Rear Camera is 8 MP Autofocus that can record full HD videos. And Front Facing camera is of 2 MP. This phone can record full HD videos at 30 frames per second. But, front camera can only shoot the video of 720p.

This phone’s battery is pretty good but not that much. With 2200mAh Li-Po battery capacity, it could give you 16 hours battery backup with causal use. Only causal use also leads to heat to the area of camera.

This phone is quoted with price of INR 7000. This phone could range pricing from NPR 12500-NPR 14000 in Nepal.

Moto X Play Review and Price in Nepal

After the grand success of Moto X and Moto X2, Motorola brought a new smartphone named Moto X Play which is similar to Moto X2 in design but whole lot of change than the previous one in specification. Mobile Vitta’s review for Moto X Play is here.

Operating System of Moto X Play: Excellent
Moto X Play comes with latest version of Android i.e. Lollipop 5.1.1 and you can expect future updates from the company. OS is pretty much stock android with some minor changes only. Set is pretty faster with Lollipop.

Design of Moto X Play: Very Good
As of all Moto sets, X Play has round figure at back and end edge of this phone. It comes with new variant of back cover with cross design. Still, it is not the final back cover. It comes in two colours at first. You can change back cover afterwards. Volume keys and Power buttons are on same side i.e. right side. Back design is pretty much like of Lumia 900.

Display of Moto X Play: Excellent
Moto X Play is 5.5 inch huge display mobile set with full HD resolution. The screen resolution of this set is 1920*1080 with 411 pixels per inch. HD IPS FHD display gives good viewing angle and gaming and video rendering experience.

Moto X Play comprises of 2 GB RAM out of which 1 GB of RAM is available. This set comes in 2 variants. One with 16 GB internal out of which 9.68 GB is user available and another with 32 GB out of which 23 GB is user available. It uses Mediatek 600+ unit which is another plus point for the set. It is clocked at 1.7 GHz and it has Octa-Core processor.
Camera of Moto X Play: Excellent
The main attraction for this phone is its camera. For the first time, Moto launched smartphone with 21 MP camera with Dual tone LED flash light. Camera UI is too fast and gives real time pictures like of S5 and S6. Front facing camera is of 5 MP which can also shoot full HD videos.

Battery of Moto X Play: Very Good
With 3650 mAh Li-Ion battery, we can expect Moto X Play to give 2 days of battery backup. But the battery is non-removable. Still, it gives 13 hours of continuous talk time and 18 hours of music time.

Price of Moto X Play: Moderate
Moto X Play is available at two prices according to internal memory. The 16 GB variant is priced at INR 17500 and 32 GB variant is priced at INR 20000. It will be ranging from NPR 30000 to NPR 35000 in Nepal.

Galaxy A8 comprises of 2GB DDR3 RAM along with 32 GB ROM which is pretty good as hardware. But it could have been better if RAM would have been increased to 3 GB. Unlike S6, external memory could be added up to 128 GB using card slot. Galaxy A8 uses Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 unit as chipset and Adreno 405 GPU. This set is clocked at 1800 MHz (1.8 GHz) and is quad core. So, gaming and video rendering is pretty fast with zero lag.

Camera of Samsung Galaxy A8: Excellent
Talking about camera, it is built with 16 MP Autofocus/Touch focus rear camera with flash and 5 MP front facing camera. Camera can record full HD video at 30 frames per second.

Battery of Samsung Galaxy A8: Very Good
Samsung placed Li-Ion battery with capacity of 3050 mAh for high performance. But it is not quite sufficient for this premium phone. Also, one bad thing about this phone in battery is that it is non-removable. It gives output of 120 hours of stand-by time.

Price of Samsung Galaxy A8: High
Company quoted price of INR 35500, but you can get it within 32000 in India. In case of Nepal, it may range from 60-65000 NPR.

Yu Yunique Specification and Price in Nepal

After a long vacation in mobile world, there came yet another budget smartphone by Yu Company. Before this, there were two smartphones that heat the mobile market, Yu Yureka and Yu Yuphoria. But both of these phones were only limited to flash sales in India.

Yu Yunique is the cheapest smartphone with whole lot of features inside it. In my view, it is one best phone for youngsters as it gives premium features in cheap price. The sleek design and standard Lollipop OS is all we want in phones, isn’t it??
 Operating System of Yu Yunique : Excellent
Yu Yunique has Android 5.1 out of the box. It is yet another achievement to Micromax Company as it is 2nd phone with Lollipop OS in September, 2015. Operating System is not modified; it comprises only the stock version. Addition to this, Yu Yunique also uses Cyanogen mod which allows faster updates and upgrades.

Design of Yu Yunique : Good                                         
Yu Yunique is with sleek and slim design with 8.3 mm thickness. It is available in Black colour with the matt finish in back. So, using with one hand also gives you pretty grip. There is volume up and down button and right side of phone along with power button. New thing is that, power button is between volume up and down. Left side of phone is without buttons. The upper folding has access to 3.5 mm audio jack and data cable key at the bottom. The logo of YU is at front.

Display of Yu Yunique : Very Good
Yu Yunique is just a budget phone, so, it is only of 4.7 inches. This is one flaw in this phone as most of people prefer smartphone with 5 inch screen. Screen Resolution is 1280*720 as per the company but the real screen resolution is 1184*720 as touch capacitive buttons are within the display. But it does not affect in playing videos and games. Of course, its PPI is higher, i.e. 312 PPI.

Hardware of Yu Yunique : Good
Yu Yunique hardware configuration is done with the view point of making it a budget phone. There is 1 Gigabyte of RAM and 8 Gigabyte of ROM. Processor is Snapdragon 410 unit clocked at 1200 MHz (1.2 GHz). It is a quad core set which gives a better gaming and video performance. But, this set could have been better if the RAM was increased up to 2 GB and ROM up to 16 GB like of Yu Yuphoria.
As of Company, both SIMs support 4G, which is obviously is a good configuration. Also memory is expandable up to 64 GB.

Camera of Yu Yunique : Very Good
Camera of Yunique in rear is 8 MP Autofocus and 2 MP front fixed focus camera. It is very good specification as per the price of set. Before this set, only Canvas Spark got same camera specs. Camera is circular or of wheel type and a single flash at back.
Battery of Yu Yunique : Bad

Battery capacity of Yu Yunique is 2000 mAh Li-ion battery that gives more than 360 minutes of talk time and 6 hours of video watching time. Also it gives backup of 12 hours for music and 4 hours of continuous gaming. But, the flaw is that, battery is non-removable.

Price of Yu Yunique : Excellent
Price is quoted by company is INR 6999 in box, but it is exclusively sold at Snapdeal.com at INR 4999. It is flash sales which end up in 29th September, 2015. It will cost not more than Rs. 9000 in Nepal. It will be competitive in Nepalese market as best budget smartphone till now.
