Chinese Mobile Company recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, another phone on
Redmi line. With the price point of around INR 7000, you get full functioning
smartphone with good specification than of Moto E 3rd Gen, which has
higher price point.

2 Prime failed to compete in market as it is not lollipop out of the box. You
get kitkat out of the box. Redmi 2 Prime comes with 4.4.4 KitKat coated with
MIUI as of all the Xiaomi Sets. Company doesnot provide future upgrades, so
this phone doesnot have brighter future in present market.

As of all
Redmi series, Redmi 2 Prime is also bulky phone. It has 9mm thickness. It is
only available in Black variant. Of course, you can change the back cover. The
outlook of this phone is pretty glossy, so, no good for extreme users. At right
side, there is power button and volume up and down key. There are 2 voice
cancellation is so good. It does have 3 touch capacitive buttons but without
background light.
Display
of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime: Moderate
Xiaomi Redmi
2 comes with High Quality Display. It is HD IPS Display with the resolution of
1280*720 which supports good games and full videos. Pixel per Inch is 312. This
handset supports 5 multi-touches. It is 4.7 inch display which gives it a
negative marking. As of news till now, there is no sign of protection and is
yet to be confirmed.

Prime comprises of 2 GB RAM which is pretty good. Out of 2 GB RAM,

available to users. This handset is clocked at 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 and is quad
core. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 unit that gives good feature.

is 8 MP Autofocus that can record full HD videos. And Front Facing camera is of
2 MP. This phone can record full HD videos at 30 frames per second. But, front
camera can only shoot the video of 720p.

This phone’s
battery is pretty good but not that much. With 2200mAh Li-Po battery capacity,
it could give you 16 hours battery backup with causal use. Only causal use also
leads to heat to the area of camera.

Redmi 2 Prime: Budget
This phone
is quoted with price of INR 7000. This phone could range pricing from NPR 12500-NPR
14000 in Nepal.
